With the change in syllabus of CCIE Collaboration, its exam pattern is also updated, the new and updated written and lab exam format is below:
Written Exam: CCIE Collaboration 400-051, includes some new topics like Evolving Technologies (E.T.). The new pattern works with new technologies and it updates the candidates with the new level of voice and video domain.
Lab Exam: The new pattern comes with unifies written and lab exam topics, the new lab pattern comes with three modules:
- Module 1: Troubleshooting
- Module 2: Diagnostic
- Module 3: Configuration
The first module will be Troubleshooting, second Diagnostic and lastly Configuration. The sequence of the modules will be always same. Candidates can go back and forth between modules. For Troubleshooting module, candidates may choose to borrow up to 30 minutes from the five hours allotted for the Configuration module. To maintain the total exam time to eight hours, the optional 30 minutes the candidate decided to use in the Troubleshooting module is deducted automatically from the time originally allocated for the Configuration module.
Note: This format is only applicable for lab exams scheduled ON July 23, 2018, and beyond.
Requirements to Pass Lab Exam: You need to fulfill both the below condition in order to pass the exam:
- The total sum of all module scores must be at least the minimum value of the overall cut score or higher.
- The minimum cut score of each individual module must be achieved.
