With the news changing every hour, everyone has stuck themselves to Television, Radio or Social Media. The news of demonetization of India and US Elections has been making the headlines. Amid these headlines, Cisco, the biggest networking product manufacturer released news as well.

Vision of Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, seems to be coming true. His dream of making Digital India!

A month back, Cisco announced to launch its manufacturing operations in Pune and make Nagpur a Smart City with its Next Gen Solutions. Now, they are planning to digitally transform at least 100 cities of India. They are already working on 14 cities and aims to connect 100 in next few years.

As per Economics Times, Cisco CEO, Chuck Robbins said, “We are engaged with state governments at various levels to digitally transform 14 cities with the help from our partners. I wish to take this number to 100 in the next five-seven years in line with the government’s ‘Digital India’ and ‘Make in India’ initiatives.”

“We are working closely with our partners in India as they have the skills and capabilities to make this happen. This is part of our broader India digital plans,” Robbins added during a media interaction at the annual Cisco Partner Summit 2016 here on Tuesday.

According to the Industrial Reports, Cisco has around 23 billion devices connected and this number will reach to 50 billion by 2022. However, to achieve this goal, it will provide secure ecosystem form hardware to software.

At this event, Cisco launched an advanced malware Protection (AMP) for Endpoints. This technology helps in complaining three main aspects; prevention, detection and responding to simply the endpoint security.

What is digital India? What is Smart Cities? How could they help us? How would they make India better?

India is one such nation who is rich in heritage and traditions. It is confronting the challenges of not only 20th and 21st centuries, but 19th century as well. There is so much diversity and culture in India at most of the states. And there is a city like Bengaluru, which is so developed and globally innovated that it is competing with Silicon Valley right now.

There are issues with India as well. Like illiteracy, basic sanitation, water and waste management and public transportation which need to be resolved. The approach to handle these issues needs to be changed or revised. Smart Cities can help with these issues radically and can change the face of the nation.

What is Smart City?

We would be discussing the ways for clearing. I would suggest you focus on the below-mentioned resources and also check out the CCNP 300-410 ENARSI Dumps offered at the ITCertDumps, they are the best when it comes to Certifications Vendor.

A smart city is a city integrated with the latest Communication Technology (ICT) and Internet of Things (IoT) to its assets to make the way of living better and intelligible.

What could happen if we use Smart City Technology:

  1. Indian street lights consume 1.5% of total electricity according to McKinsey. If these lights are replaced by networked motion-detection lights than 70% to 80% of electricity could be saved. Also, the crime rate may decrease due to better visibility.
  1. Today, Indian Buildings consume nearly 40% of the total energy consumption. This will increase to 50% by 2030.

Imagine the increase in energy consumption with this rate of exponentially increasing population and constructing buildings. What if buildings are outfitted with intelligent sensors? This will help in analyze energy-use data.

  1. With the increasing number of vehicles on the road, India costs $10 billion in traffic congestion. Looking for parking space causes 30% of these congestions.

If we add network sensors in the parking spaces which will guide every driver towards the available parking areas, this will save lots of energy and money.

These smart cities can remotely help other cities in their nearby areas with infrastructure monitoring services, thereby, developing them too.

How can it be done?

To develop any room, organization, city, state or a nation; one single reporting body needs to be there. There shouldn’t be any role overlapping. All the local bodies, Civic Bodies and Local Governments should work for one goal under one person. This will secure the proper chain of commands. Then they need to embrace the new technologies that can secure money, help in developing the city, maintain order, explore investment partnerships and make organizational changes.

For example, the ongoing Delhi-Mumbai Infrastructure Corridor (DMIC) initiative is making process because it is commanded by only one CEO.

We need to set our standards intelligibly to use technology for our city services and to manage complex issues. For example, we could set a standard for the infrastructure in the city. Like garbage bins, streetlights, and buildings needs to be equipped with the sensor that sends the signal when they require administration.

Benchmark these standards to the other developed smart cities and enjoy the technology in the best possible way.

Clearing the Certification isn’t considered to be that much easy, you have to go through rigorous training and lots of CCNP 300-415 ENSDWI Dumps would be needed to go through unless you have some expertise training courses like such offered at the ITCertDumps.
